The spokesperson of Amber Heard confirmed that she is expecting her second child. The “Aquaman” star previously had her first child, 3-and-a-half-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige. And the one thing these children have in common is that Heard has not publicly identified the father of the children.
“It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage. Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige,” Representative of Amber Heard shared.
Previously, Amber Heard welcomed her first child on April 8, 2021 in silence. She did not publicly announce the arrival of baby Oonagh Paige to the public until 3 months later (July 2021) in an Instagram post.
In that Instagram post, she excitedly shared a photo of herself with her baby on Instagram and said daughter Oonagh Paige was “the beginning of the rest of my life”.
At that time, Amber shared “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”.
Then, Amber Heard posted many photos of her and Oonagh on Instagram. On Oonagh’s first birthday, her mother told that she “still can’t believe you’re here” and had the “greatest year” with her.
Heard was married to Johnny Depp and became his wife between 2015 and 2017. And their relationship became the focus of public opinion when they divorced and had to participate in a high-profile libel trial in 2022. The two stars accused each other of abuse during their marriage.
In her testimony, Johnny Depp’s ex-wife only mentioned Oonagh once during four days of testimony during the trial. Her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, sued for $50 million in damages because of an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post. In that op-ed, she told that she was a survivor of domestic violence.
Although Depp was not named in the op-ed, Depp’s legal team said the op-ed “clearly implication that Mr. Depp is a domestic abuser.” Depp denied all allegations of abuse. Heard countersued for $100 million in damages. She claimed that Depp’s legal team “unlawfully targeted her” in an “online smear campaign” against her.
“I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too,” Amber said during the trial. Finally, the jury concluded that both Depp and Heard had defamed each other.
Heard said she was excited about the future life after the verdict was announced. “I get to be a full-time mother where I don’t have to juggle calls with my lawyers,” she said at that time. Now, she is pregnant for the second time and still living in Spain.
